Joel Comm’s “The Secret Classroom”

You might have heard about Joel Comm’s “The Next Internet Millionaire”. It was an online tv show where you got to watch 12 people get trained by some of the top internet marketers, and compete against each other to win.

Well, now it’s over, and Joel Comm has launched “The Secret Classroom”. Here you can get all of the great training that the 12 people on the show got, and more! Some of the people you will learn from are Mark Joyner, Armand Morin, Jeff Walker, Brad Fallon, Perry Marshall, Rich Schefren, and more.

If you have been having a hard time making money online, and are trying to learn more so that you can, this looks like a great package. You will learn a lot about many different parts of the business so you can put it all together and hopefully start making money soon!

Rich Schefren – The Attention Age Doctrine Part 2

Rich Schefren has just released part 2 of the Attention Age Doctrine. It’s 94 pages, and while I haven’t finished reading it yet, so far it’s great. Everything I have ever read that was written by Rich Schefren has been great, so I recommend reading it when you get the chance. It’s completely free, but will only be available for a short time. So download it now, and read it when you get the chance.

Looking to increase the revenue on your Blog or Website?

Looking to increase the revenue from your blog or website? Consider adding a Buxr Widget to your site. It is a widget that will promote products for you.

It just launched today, and while I do think it looks new, it definitely does have potential.

You can either choose the products that show up on the site yourself, or you can let them choose the hottest deals.

I just signed up and took a look around, and it’s easy to configure how you want the colors to look on your site, and what size advertising you’d like to put. It’s a simple way to get a little more revenue from your site, without a lot of extra work.

Time Flies

It’s amazing how fast time goes. I knew it had been a short while since I last posted here, but I didn’t realize quite how long it’s been! I’ve been spending most of my time working, and of course enjoying the summer, but now it’s time to get back to work and back to posting. Coming soon will be more posts to help you start your home based business, or help you make it more successful.

How not to get anything done…

One of my biggest problems used to be that I didn’t accomplish as much as I wanted to each day.  Was it due to lack of work to do?  Maybe I just didn’t have enough to keep busy?  Absolutely not.  I had many different projects to work on.

I really think that was the problem.  I had too many projects to work on, so I felt overwhelmed thinking that I had to be working on all of them at the same time…and in turn, spent a few minutes on each, and never really got much accomplished.

I have spent the past few months working on this though, and want to share with you the ways I have been able to get more done.

1.  Prioritize your projects.  What is the most important?  What is least important?  Once you decide what is most important, make sure you work on that first.  If possible, try to focus on just one project at a time, but sometimes you don’t have a choice but to work on many projects…so at least make sure you know which are the ones that should get your time first.

2.  Make a schedule before you go to sleep.  The next day, work on things in the order you set up the night before.  Of course since you prioritized everything, the more important things will get done first, even if they are not the most fun.

3.  Don’t feel as if you have to get everything done at once.  Set realistic goals and milestones for yourself on when you want to get things done.  This way each day you will see that you are getting closer to your goals, and you’ll feel better.

If you follow these simple rules, you’ll be able to get done a lot more each day, and get closer to your goals!

Pingoat – Another way to get free traffic to a blog

Are you looking for more simple ways to get your blog noticed?  Every time you write a new post, ping your blog.  It will let others know when there is a new post, and you can get free traffic this way.

One great resource to use to blog many different websites with one button is Pingoat.  The first time you go to the site, you put in some information about your blog, and check off the sites you would like to ping to, and it will ping all of those sites for you.  Then, just create a favorite with that page, and every time you go to that page from then on, it will ping all of those sites.

It’s nice and easy to set up, and even easier to use once it is set up!  Just go to that web page every time you post to your blog, and information about your post will show up on different websites, and you can get free traffic out of it!

TrafficSwarm

trafficswarm.png

If you’re looking to get free traffic, you might consider signing up for TrafficSwarm.  It’s a free site where you can promote your website.

How it works is when you look at ads, you will gain credits.  As you gain credits, you can use these credits to show your ad.  These ads will be shown to real people…it isn’t automated or anything.  It’s a great free way to get some extra traffic.

It is possible to buy credits if you don’t want to earn them by looking at other ads, but if you don’t want to spend a dime, this is a great way to get some people to see your site!

The 4 Hour Workweek

I was lucky enough to hear Timothy Ferriss on a conference call last night.  He has gotten to a point where he only spends about 4 hours working each week!  He has delegated most of his work to other people, and doesn’t need to spend much time on his business.

I am about to order his book, and will let everyone know what I think after I read it.  I imagine it will be very helpful!  I doubt I will be able to cut down my work to only 4 hours a week, but even if I can save an hour or so a day, that would be perfect.

I’m sure that many people spend hours and hours on their business, and wish they could have more free time.  Timothy Ferriss is able to travel whenever and wherever he wants, which is my biggest goal.  I will share more once I have read the book!

Website Magazine – Review of a free magazine

Website Magazine

Last week I received my first issue of Website Magazine.  Subscriptions are free to those that qualify, and I was very interested in taking a look at it.  If you have been reading some of my other posts, you know that I have been looking for magazines that can help people like me – those with our own home based online business.

When I opened the magazine and looked at the table of contents, I was very excited.  The magazine contained articles about website security, blogging for dollars, building links, SEO, and content management.  These are all things I care about, and are important to my business.  I have not had time yet to finish the magazine, but look forward to it.

Anyone who has a website, or owns their own online business will really enjoy reading the articles.  And of course, who can beat the price?  Free is always good.  Definitely don’t take that to mean that the content isn’t great.  There is a lot of quality to the articles I read, and so far they have been very helpful.

If you would like to get your own free subscription, click on the banner above, and you can sign up.
